    Job Description

    This vacancy is being advertised on behalf of Ambitions Personnel who are operating as an employment agency.

    This is a fantastic opportunity to work for one of the UK’s leading manufacturers in the Newark area. The business has a turnover of £30m and employs 200 staff. The company has invested over £1m in machinery so far in 2017. As the company continues to grow, we are looking to recruit a multi skilled maintenance engineer for the busy Production facility.

    This is an exciting time to join us as we are just about to open a second site based within Newark area to further increase our production facilities.

    You will ideally have experience of both electrical and mechanical maintenance although a specialism in just electrical or just mechanical can be considered with development opportunities to build your skillset to become a multi-skilled engineer.

    You will be responsible for:

    Using both mechanical and electrical engineering skills / knowledge to maintain and enhance the performance of various machinery, and equipment.

    Providing first class, flexible support to production requirements and factory services at all time.

    Role Accountabilities:

    Ensure engineering downtime is accurately logged, monitor repair times, and find new methods / procedures to reduce these.

    Provide engineering support to production to ensure efficient performance of all equipment.

    Ensuring that all H&S procedures, engineering best practices are adhered to at all times.

    Person Specifications

    The successful candidate will have:

    Time served apprenticeship or equivalent

    Recognised engineering qualifications

    Knowledge of production plant: conveyors, pumps, drive systems etc.

    Competent electrical / electronic fault finding and analysis skills

    Self-managing - able to work under own supervision or as part of a team

    Flexible working attitude.

    Own transport is essential.

    Preferred experience:

    Knowledge of 17th Edition

    Experience of Woodworking Machinery

    Pneumatics qualification or training

    Experience in Welding.
