    Job Description

    This vacancy is being advertised on behalf of ambitions personnel who are acting as an employment agency.  

    This role is working as part of a small team of 3 based A1 South just on the outskirts of Grantham. You will be working on behalf of the Pre-Delivery Inspection centre which performs inspections of machines before machines are shipped to the customers. Secondly the PDI centre customizes machines to customers’ request.

     

    The Administration Assistant will provide support to the Site Manager and Supervisor. The role is varied and working within a busy environment.

     

    Main responsibilities:

    • Day to day input using Oracle and Sage based systems
    • Processing transport paperwork
    • Support with shipping queries and process by ensuring site is ready to receive goods coming in.
    • Dealing with ordering for parts and other goods including workwear, H&S equipment and site consumables.
    • Raising purchase orders
    • Filing
    • Supporting monthly stock count
    • Comply with safe work practices and site rules
    • Ensure compliance
    • Any other duties deemed appropriate to the level of skill and responsibility

     

    Person Specifications

    • Good administrator with previous experience of working within a similar role.
    • Ability to plan, organise and prioritise
    • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
    • Good problem solving skills
    • Must be able to work flexibly in a supportive manner as part of a small team
    • Demonstrate tact and diplomacy when dealing with people.
    • Ability to prioritise and deal with multiple tasks.
    • Good level of initiative and proactiveness
    • Experience of using business systems to input data
    • Competent in Microsoft Office packages including Word, Excel, Outlook
    • Adhere to safety working practices and ensure that they are followed at all times.
    • Demonstrate the ability to work within a team environment.
    • Understanding and support of Company policies and procedures.
    • Strong orientation toward quality, safety and continuous improvement.
    • Demonstrate ability to work flexibly and on their own using own initiative
