    Job Description

    An exciting opportunity has arisen for a QA Manager to join our clients based near Sleaford. The main focus of the role is to deliver the quality and technical objectives for the site operations.

    You will be responsible for:

    • Ensure the daily compliance of all standards against JDR and BRC requirements.
    • Ensure all internal and external audits and testing is carried out as required
    • Ensure all audits are conducted and corrective actions and non-conformances are raised, documented and actioned
    • Driving root cause analysis to reduce the non-conformance and incidents within the manufacturing operations
    • Ensure costs are controlled for the department
    • Ensure food standards are in place, are fully briefed/trained out and that teams are producing safe food in accordance with policy
    • Effectively communicate information to technical and non-technical teams
    • Educate and provide expert information to the manufacturing teams
    • Support the training to ensure it is effective and understood
    • Ensure there is evidence of continuous improvement activity and forums are being carried out to show year on year improvements to consumer complaints

    Person Specifications

    • Excellent decision-making and clarity of thinking skills
    • Able to analyse and interpret data and formulate solid actions plans to improve performance
    • Able to effectively manage and resolve conflicts both within the team and with external stakeholders
    • A strong bias towards actively seeking ways to improve plant performance and methods of operation
    • Ability to work under pressure
    • Food Science related degree or equivalent qualification
    • Proven Quality management experience
    • Food manufacturing experience
    • Thorough understanding of food legislation and nutrition
    • Knowledge of Allergen, Vendor Assurance, Process Contaminants, Organic Management and working knowledge of British Retail Consortium standards
