    Job Description

    This vacancy is being advertised on behalf of ambitions personnel who are acting as an employment agency. 

    We are currently supporting a charming business based in Melton Mowbray who is looking to hire a part time Sales Administrator.

    Working Monday to Thursday from 8.30 am to 4.30 pm, reporting into the Head of UK Retail Sales, the Sales Administrator will act as the first point of contact to internal and external customers for the Sales Team. In addition, the Sales Administrator will be responsible for a range of administrative duties including Sample Requests, Customer and Project Delivery Systems, Promotions, Planning and Arranging Customer visits.

    Key responsibilities and accountabilities

    • Customer and Project delivery Systems Support – Acting as the PDS Commercial custodian for the retail team, inputting and updating data as required.
    • Monitoring the critical path to ensure all tasks are completed within timelines set.
    • Retail Customer Portals – accessing all retail customer portals as required to ensure familiarity with new products, pricing and promotions.
    • Department Administration - full administrative support managing diaries, planning, emails and departmental meetings
    • Retail Sample Request Support – Handling and managing all requests in a timely manner.
    • Monitoring and recording the volume and distribution costs, investigating opportunities to mitigate costs where possible and improve overall efficiencies of the process.
    • Customer Pricing - Actively managing the company price files to update pricing, delists and new listings.
    • Store Audits – Managing monthly store audits, updating files and mail received by the business.


    Person Specifications

    • Evidence of high standards of planning and organising.
    • Ability to prioritise own workload.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Well versed in IT skills for example Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems.
    • An administrative or sales background.
    • Detail oriented.
