    Job Description

Helping to ensure that work is processed through the IT Applications department in a timely manner, the IT Coordinator gets involved in Development project work throughout the project lifecycle; from scoping and implementation, to resource planning and scheduling, cost capture and reporting.

    A varied role, duties include:

    • Supporting the IT Apps department by being aware of new projects in the pipeline and the timescales in which they’re likely to need delivering, as well as understanding ever-changing timescales and priorities of projects currently being worked on.
    • Maintaining a database of the project schedule (live and pipeline), monitoring and updating the live project status via the Concerto Critical Chain software, from which KPI data is reported.
    • You will also use the MIS to raise jobs and PO numbers, for cost capture and reporting.
    • Working with the project stakeholders across the business, advising on capacity within the IT Apps department, attending strangers meetings and scoping sessions for projects.
    • Ensuring cost capture for time spent on project work, so the project owners can monitor project estimates against actual costs as the project progresses.

The role is process driven; needing to have an awareness of the way in which the business expects projects to be managed and being an advocate of this process, but with an understanding of when and how to expedite work. The role often needs to be reactive to fluctuating workloads and client deadlines; demands on your time will change quickly and priorities need reassessing daily.

This will be a permanent position, salary is negotiable depending upon experience. The hours of work are Monday to Friday 8.30am – 5.30pm, some flexibility is required around project deadlines.

If you feel that you have the skills to meet this position please forward your CV and covering letter outlining exactly what you are looking for and what you can bring to the role to lynsey.butler@ambitionspersonnel.com or call 01623 629966.
