    Job Description

    We are seeking an experienced and professional Service Desk Coordinator to provide high-level, proactive support to a growing service team. Working for one of the industry’s largest, independently owned, provider of installation and maintenance of electronic security and life safety systems you will be a motivated and organised individual to complete the following tasks and functions:

    Duties include:

    • Handling of inbound requests (phone/email) from customers wishing to place a service call, most of these calls are urgent requests due to a vulnerability in their premises
    • Logging of service call requests on our central service management system, accuracy and attention to detail are critical
    • Managing and organising engineers and their workload on a daily basis to meet client expectations
    • Diligently auditing all completed service calls to ensure works have been completed satisfactorily or those in need of additional works are rescheduled
    • Communicating and engaging with our team of engineers to help with information flow and relationship building
    • Direct communication with the client to follow up on any service visits
    • Handling of inbound sales enquiries and driving through sales orders (training will be provided)
    • Being the account co-ordinator for a select number of accounts
    • Accurately requisitioning parts for service calls and managing the delivery to the engineer

    This is a full time permanent role, working Monday to Friday 8.30am – 5.00pm. The salary is circa £18,000 negotiable dependent upon experience.

    Person Specifications

    Required experience:

    • Previous experience in a related role: scheduling, diary management, despatching engineers, insurance claims etc
    • Educated to A Level Standard or beyond
    • Ability to work in a pressure environment 
    • Good listening and communication skills
    • Good written and verbal vocabulary
    • Good organisational and time management skills
    • Ability to prioritise workloads to achieve KPI’s
    • Good personable skills are required, managing and co-ordinating our engineers is a key ingredient in making this successful
    • Ability to manage internal and external conflicts and manage the customer


    • A good understanding of the UK road networks, along with cities and major towns
    • Competent user of a PC and common Microsoft Office applications
