    Job Description

    A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a temporary to permanent Engineering Co Ordinator to join our client based near Sleaford. The main focus of the role is to support engineering activities by the planning and control of maintenance systems and resources.

    Main duties will include but are not restricted to:


    • Liaise with engineering management, engineers and production to develop maintenance schedules, activates and resources to reduce / eradicate equipment downtime
    • Control and maintain the integrity of the plant maintenance systems and documentation
    • In relation to planned maintenance, liaise with contractors and suppliers
    • Maintain effective recording systems for maintenance monitoring in relation to calibration, resources and safety
    • Liaise with the engineering management team in relation to the achievement and effectiveness of the maintenance schedules
    • Assisting in ensuring contractors have signed on site and have the correct work permits.
    • Assisting with ensuring that all contracting companies have sent in H&S packs with risk assessments and method statements.
    • Demonstrate maintenance audit compliance and ensure that the audit criteria is met within area of responsibility
    • Ensure that production equipment is calibrated within date and duly recorded on the register
    • Support the department Health and Safety requirements by assisting with the development of risk assessments and safe operating procedures.
    • Organising, coordinating and delivering knowledge of safe operating procedures in relation to maintenance for engineering and production personnel
    • Ensuring that records are kept and maintained current
    • To work in a manner that actively seeks to reduce any negative environmental impact in relation to the processes and procedures operating within their area and across the wider business e.g. reduction of waste, recycling etc.
    • Maintain an accurate Asset Management Maintenance System
    • Provide effective scheduled Work Orders
    • Produce and maintain monitoring records
    • Within area of responsibility, maintain audit required records

    Person Specifications

    You must have the following skills:

    • Computer literacy and experience
    • Knowledge of Engineering Functions
    • An understanding of engineering terminology
    • Planning and organisational skills


    • Experience of an asset maintenance system
    • Engineering qualifications or experience
    • Previous Planning experience
    • Knowledge of risk assessments & safe operating procedures
    • Experience of dealing with contractors
