    Job Description

    We are currently recruiting for an Engineer to join our client based in Boston site, working a day shift. The main focus of the role is to carry out all work in a safe and efficient manner as per the Health and Safety policy.

    Main duties will include but are not restricted to:

    • Undertake repairs as requested by Engineering Manager, Shift Manager, etc
    • Prioritise workload in line with production requirements
    • Carry out planned and preventative maintenance tasks as per the maintenance schedule
    • Identify potential improvements to equipment and communicate these to the relevant persons
    • Communicate with relevant parties the status of any ongoing work
    • Create an accurate record of completed work with details of parts used
    • Provide holiday and sickness cover for colleagues by either working extended shifts or being available for call out                  
    • Ensure the security of all tools and equipment
    • Ensure a high standard of housekeeping is maintained in all work areas
    • Work with CPS teams to improve overall efficiency of plant and equipment
    • Assist with training to apprentices and other engineering personnel as required
    • Must be willing to travel to other sites or locations when required
    • Undertake specialised training when required

    Person Specifications

    • Have an interest and understanding of engineering principles
    • Experience in the use of Microsoft Office
    • Have strong organisational, grammar and communication skills at all levels
    • Be able to work in a confidential manner
    • Be detailed, thorough, and accurate
    • Be able to prioritise, and manage your own workload and tasks
    • Organised and calm under pressure
    • Friendly, approachable and flexible – a team player
    • Apprentice, ONC or equivalent Electrical Engineering qualification
    • IOSH Managing Safely an advantage
    • Experience of engineering systems to include planned preventative maintenance
    • Experience of working in a manufacturing environment
