    Job Description

    We are currently recruiting for a Process Manager to join our client’s existing team based on the outskirts of Boston working on a day shift, Monday-Friday.

    Main duties will include but are not restricted to:

    • Lead the Site Process Development team; determining resource requirements deemed necessary for full delivery of Business Projects
    • Lead all NPD Business Projects – structuring Critical Paths that meet Customer and Business Timescales for Launch.
    • Review all trial product and relevant data in order to ensure product suitability for legal, quality and safety
    • Manage all customer elements of process development  
    • Ensure that internal weekly meetings are held, reviewing progress against critical path for each project
    • Ensure that appropriate Food Safety Risk assessments are undertaken on any new or new application raw materials (or Supplier)
    • Ensure that any new process has been thoroughly validated
    • All new Products Launch MUST have an effective and validated HACCP to ensure a Safe process
    • In line with FMS aspirations for growth and innovation – assist with the structuring of / planning of future investigations (feasibility trials) into new ingredients, process etc
    • Lead, motivate and inspire direct reports to enable process function to work effectively
    • Ensure all Team Members are clear of their role accountabilities and have personal development plans

    Person Specifications

    • Relevant experience of successfully leading a team within the chilled food industry
    • Good technical understanding of factors affecting food safety and process variability of chilled foods and produce
    • Good people and team management skills
    • Good communication skills across all functions including customer liaison
    • Good organisational skills and problem solving ability
    • Critical path management skills essential
    • A strong personality - the ability to influence and motivate colleagues from all disciplines
    • Understanding of basic engineering & design principles of food manufacturing equipment
