Inspired by Claire's great work, Ambitions Personnel is encouraging anyone who can to donate to Beaumond House Community Hospice in Newark, to support them during the COVID-19 crisis.
The charity provides palliative care and support to patients with life-limiting or terminal illnesses, and their loved ones. Members of Ambitions Personnel have been personally impacted by the work Beaumond House Hospice does, making the recruitment firm a long-time supporter of the charity.
The cost of running the hospice and its services is more than £1 million a year, with all of its care provided at no cost to patients or their families and is offered 24 hours, 365 days a year. Over half of this money is funded by donations and local businesses through various fundraisers and earnings from its shops throughout the year.
This year, in addition to the COVID-19 pandemic compromising the wellbeing of its staff, it has caused Beaumond House to suffer a drastic decrease in donations due to the closure of its shops and cancelled fundraising events.
Without public support, the charity will not be able to offer its essential services that hundreds of people in and around Newark depend on.
The organisation has launched its ‘Fill The Gap’ campaign in an effort to raise £640,000 this year from its local community, and has created a Just Giving Page so people can easily donate to them. Ambitions has donated and urges others to do the same if they can.
