Are you looking for a flexible, opportunity where you can work around your schedule? We have a vacancy available for an accounts assistant working on the outskirts of Newark, supporting the Finance Controller and Accounts Manager for approximately six months, covering a period of sickness.
As the accounts assistant you’ll be working within a small, supportive team of two, based in newly renovated offices on the outskirts of Newark (car required due to location). The role offers up to 30 hours per week, with the flexibility to pick your own hours – come and go as you please, within reason!
Working under the direction of the accounts manager who has been in the business 20 years, you will take direction well and be a true team player.
As the accounts assistant you will do a bit of everything such as:
- Supporting the existing Accounts Assisttant and Accounts Manager with a variety of tasks, including processing purchase ledger and sales invoices on sage, inputting timesheets and daily bank recs.
- Handling general finance-related duties using Sage software, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Collaborating closely with a small team, offering support where necessary.
What we’re looking for:
- Previous experience working with Sage is essential.
- You must be able to work independently, manage your time efficiently, and handle tasks as they arise.
- A keen eye for detail and the ability to handle financial data with accuracy.
- A car is required to commute to our office location, which is situated on the outskirts of Newark.
- Availability to commit to the role, providing support as required over the next six months.
