Job Title: Counterbalance Forklift Truck Operator

Location: Mansfield

Reports To: Warehouse Supervisor / Operations Manager

Shift Pattern: 3 Shift System – Rotating:

  • Early Shift: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM

  • Late Shift: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

  • Night Shift: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

Role Overview:

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Counterbalance Forklift Truck Operator.

The role involves operating a counterbalance forklift to safely and efficiently move goods, materials, and products within thewarehouse environment. The successful candidate will be required to work on a rotating shift pattern.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate a counterbalance forklift to move, stack, and organize goods/materials within the warehouse.

  • Load and unload deliveries in a safe and efficient manner.

  • Ensure accurate stock levels by placing materials in the correct locations.

  • Perform regular stock checks and ensure inventory accuracy.

  • Adhere to health and safety procedures and guidelines.

  • Conduct routine checks and maintenance of the forklift to ensure safe operation.

  • Assist in warehouse organization and maintain cleanliness in the working area.

  • Collaborate with other team members to meet productivity targets.

  • Ensure proper documentation and labeling of goods as required.

  • Report any equipment issues or safety hazards to the supervisor.

  • Flexibility to assist in other warehouse tasks as required.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Valid Counterbalance Forklift License or equivalent experience.

  • Experience operating a Counterbalance Forklift in a warehouse or distribution environment.

  • Proven experience working in a rotating shift system.

  • Good understanding of health and safety regulations within a warehouse setting.

  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.

  • Good communication skills.

  • Physically fit and able to work in a manual labor role.

  • Ability to work as part of a team or independently.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working in a warehouse logistics or manufacturing environment.

  • Experience with other types of forklifts (e.g., reach trucks, pallet trucks).

  • Knowledge of basic inventory management systems.

Working Conditions:

  • This role operates on a 3-shift system, and candidates should be comfortable working across early, late, and night shifts on a rotating basis.

  • The environment can be physically demanding, with periods of standing, walking, and manual handling.

  • Health and safety regulations must always be followed to ensure a safe working environment.
