HR Officer

 

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled HR Officer to join our client’s team in a manufacturing environment on a 6 Month Fixed Term Contract. As an HR Officer, you will be a key player in fostering a positive work environment and ensuring that our workforce is motivated, well-trained, and equipped to meet the challenges of the food production sector. This position demands a comprehensive understanding of human resource practices, employment laws, and compliance standards, particularly within the food industry. Your role as the HR Officer will involve working closely with management to develop and implement HR strategies that support organisational goals, promote employee engagement, and uphold productivity standards. You will also manage recruitment processes, employee relations, learning and development programs, performance management initiatives, and Compensation & Benefits.

Responsibilities

  • Manage recruitment processes including job postings, candidate screening, and interview coordination.
  • Support employee relations by addressing inquiries, grievances, and performance-related issues in a timely manner.
  • Maintain HR records and ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations within the food production industry.
  • Develop and implement company policies and procedures that align with industry standards and best practices.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and assist in creating development plans for employees.
  • Promote a culture of diversity and inclusion while organizing employee engagement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, or HR related qualification (CIPD)
  • Proven experience in human resources management, preferably within the food production industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport at all levels.
  • Excellent organisational and time management abilities to handle multiple priorities effectively.

Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite. Previous experience with SAP would be advantageous
