Set up, adjust and operate parts to specifications, using various machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, drills, linishers and other grinders.
· Production planning and job scheduling in conjunction with the turbo team leader.
· Study sample parts, blueprints, drawings and engineering information in order to determine methods and sequences of operations needed to fabricate products whilst working too product dimensions and tolerances.
· Carry out remedial works such as tapping, Heli coil thread repair, polishing shafts, soldering, flatting faces and stud removal.
· Work closely with the Production and Engineering Manager in order to exchange and implement technical information and processors.
· Maintain a clean and orderly work area; suggest enhancements to process and machine shop layout and help implement once approved.
· Maintain all machine tools and equipment on a daily basis.
· Dismantle equipment where needed to examine for defects or replace broken parts where needed.
· Respond to other Ad-Hoc requests made by higher Management as and when required.
For this role you must have the following experience essential for the role -
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
· Strong organisational skills with the ability to multi-task.
· Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel and MS PowerPoint, in particular).
· Experience or knowledge of using various machine tools such as lathes, cylindrical grinder, milling machines, drills, linisher and other grinders.
· Experience or knowledge to be able to produce/ fabricate/modify or repair various mechanical components.
· Experience of dismantling, cleaning and lubricating machine tools and equipment.
