Our client is a leading manufacturer with over 20,000 employees across various sites in the UK. Established as an industry leader, the company invests heavily in the latest technology and machinery, ensuring employees work in a cutting-edge, forward-thinking environment. The factory in Newark, built in 2017, is one of their flagship locations, featuring state-of-the-art automation and advanced machinery.

Role Overview:
We are looking for a Multi-Skilled Engineer to join a dynamic team of 8 engineers, supported by an additional 3 engineers. This is an exciting opportunity for engineers from any background or industry, as long as you can demonstrate solid preventative and reactive maintenance experience. You will be responsible for managing your own project workload and working autonomously in a fast-paced, highly automated environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance: Perform both preventative and reactive maintenance on a range of machinery and equipment in the factory, ensuring minimal downtime and efficient operations.
  • Project Management: Take ownership of your own workload, coordinating and managing maintenance projects from start to finish, including scheduling, planning, and execution.
  • Collaboration: Work alongside a skilled team of engineers, with the support of additional engineers to ensure smooth operations and effective problem-solving.
  • Automation: Work in a highly automated environment, ensuring all systems and machinery are running efficiently and safely.
  • Continuous Improvement: Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, identifying areas for enhancement in the maintenance processes and machinery.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Keep accurate records of maintenance work, including schedules, repairs, and any issues encountered. Assist in maintaining compliance with health and safety regulations.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Official Electrical Qualification (e.g., City & Guilds or equivalent).
  • Experience in Mechanical Engineering and electrical maintenance.
  • Proven experience in both preventative and reactive maintenance.
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage your own project workload.
  • Experience working in an automated or fast-paced manufacturing environment is an advantage but not essential.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to maintenance.
  • Ability to work as part of a team, with excellent communication skills.
  • Willingness to embrace new challenges and learn in a rapidly evolving environment.

Benefits:

  • Competitive salary of £50,200 per year.
  • Time and a Half Overtime available.
  • Opportunity to work in a state-of-the-art factory with the latest technology.
  • Career progression opportunities within a global company.
  • Work as part of a dedicated team with excellent support.
  • Comprehensive company benefits package.
  • Opportunity to work with an industry leader, with over 20,000 employees across the UK.

How to Apply:
If you are a skilled engineer with the required qualifications and experience, we’d love to hear from you. Apply today and take the next step in your engineering career with a company that values growth, innovation, and employee development.
