You will be responsible for preparing detailed and accurate cost estimates for mechanical aspects of M&E projects. Your expertise will be critical in ensuring that the bids are competitive and reflect the true scope of the work required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cost Estimation: Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for mechanical components of M&E projects, including HVAC, plumbing, and pipework systems.
  • Tender Preparation: Develop competitive bids and tender documents, ensuring all aspects of the project are covered and priced correctly.
  • Project Analysis: Review project specifications, drawings, and other documents to understand the full scope and requirements.
  • Vendor and Subcontractor Liaison: Obtain and analyse quotes from suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring cost-effectiveness and compliance with project specifications.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the design and contracts teams to align estimates with project goals and delivery strategies.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Mechanical Estimator in the construction or M&E sectors.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and pipework.
  • Proficient in using estimating software and tools, with the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
