Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Cleaning Operative to join our team at our Bilborough site on a temp to perm basis. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene across the site, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for all employees. This is a part-time role with the potential for an increase in working hours as the need arises.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform cleaning duties as per the cleaning schedules for offices, restrooms, communal areas, and other designated spaces on the premises.

  • Ensure the safe and effective use of cleaning products in compliance with the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) regulations.

  • Maintain knowledge and apply correct dilution ratios for cleaning products to ensure safety and effectiveness.

  • Clean and sanitize industrial and commercial areas to meet high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.

  • Handle and dispose of waste in accordance with health and safety guidelines.

  • Report any maintenance issues or potential hazards observed during cleaning tasks.

  • Ensure cleaning equipment is used properly, regularly maintained, and stored safely.

  • Work effectively as part of a team or independently, depending on the tasks at hand.

  • Adhere to health and safety procedures, including safe handling and storage of cleaning products.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Previous experience in industrial and commercial cleaning environments.

  • Good understanding and practical knowledge of COSHH regulations and the safe handling of cleaning products.

  • Familiarity with cleaning schedules and the ability to follow detailed instructions.

  • Proficient in the use of industrial cleaning equipment.

  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively with a strong attention to detail.

  • Good communication skills and the ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.

  • Ability to work to a high standard of cleanliness, ensuring all areas are maintained to a high hygienic level.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience working in a similar role within a commercial or industrial setting.

  • Knowledge of dilution ratios and the ability to adjust cleaning solutions as needed.

  • Basic understanding of health and safety principles in the workplace.

Working Hours and Benefits:
