Must Have Dynamics or SAP Experience & Proven Acquisition Experience
We are seeking a Financial Controller for a business in Worksop undergoing significant organisational change after a recent acquisition. This role requires a fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) with extensive experience using Dynamics or SAP systems and a proven track record in managing acquisitions and integrations. As the Financial Controller, you will oversee financial operations, implement new processes, and ensure the successful integration of the business into the wider group. Working closely with the General Manager and reporting to the Group Finance Director, your leadership will be vital in driving continuous improvement and ensuring operational efficiency throughout this transition.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a finance team of five, including two management accountants and three transactional staff.
- Work closely with the General Manager and report directly to the Group Finance Director.
- Oversee monthly financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and cash flow management.
- Lead the implementation of new financial processes and systems, including working on Dynamics or SAP.
- Manage month-end and year-end closing, ensuring deadlines are met.
- Provide strategic financial insights to support business decision-making.
- Support change management efforts and integration of financial operations post-acquisition.
Essential Experience:
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
- Proven financial control and leadership experience, particularly in SME manufacturing or engineering environments.
- Strong background in change management, particularly in post-acquisition environments.
- In-depth experience with financial systems like Dynamics or SAP.
- Previous experience leading finance teams and developing individuals to reach their potential.
