We’re recruiting for an Audit to Cash Finance Assistant to join a new centralised finance department based in Newark. This is an exciting temporary position (8-12 weeks) to gain valuable experience and get your foot in the door with a leading global company.
This is not your typical credit control role – you will be working directly with major retailers, handling large debit notes and customer claims, and involved in plenty of reconciliation and cash matching. If you have experience in credit control, reconciliations, and are comfortable chasing up missing information, we’d love to hear from you!
The ideal candidate will have a can-do attitude, be persistent (like a dog with a bone!) when it comes to getting the information needed, and be patient and collaborative while working alongside a close-knit team of 7 colleagues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage large debit notes and customer claims, liaising directly with major retailers.
- Undertake reconciliations and cash matching across multiple accounts.
- Chase up information and resolve discrepancies, ensuring accuracy.
- Collaborate with colleagues in the centralised finance team to ensure smooth processes.
- Maintain a proactive approach in ensuring all issues are resolved efficiently.
Ideal Candidate:
- Previous experience in credit control, reconciliations, or cash matching is essential.
- A can-do attitude with a proactive and persistent approach.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to handle large volumes of information.
- Excellent communication skills and comfortable engaging with large retailers.
- Ability to work effectively within a small team and contribute positively to team goals.
